Hi guys

I have been trying to get OSX on my laptop for a few days now without luck. I have tried Kalyway 10.5.1 and .2, iDeneb, and iATKOS 5i (for Intel) - stupidly as mine is AMD :-/
Every boot is fine starting up Darwin, but when it gets up to loading the kext for TMSafetyNet, it reboots, although on the new Leo4all 4.1, it just hangs without rebooting.

I'll give my complete spec below :)

CPU: AMD Turion RM-70 64x2
Motherboard: Wistron 360A
RAM : 2 GB - DDR2
Video: nVidia Geforce 8200M G
Drives: Seagate SATA drive model ST9200827AS / TSSTcorp TS-L633L CD/DVDRW
Network: Atheros AR5007 wifi / nForce Network Controller (LAN)

Mo'bo chipset: NVIDIA Geforce 8200M Rev A2
CPU Southbridge: NVIDIA ID075E

I hope this is enough info to be able to find where the problem lies, as I'm damn sure it's going to be my hardware somewhere along the line. I'd appreciate any help you can give me to get OSX on this laptop, as I did have it before shame I don't have that PC now :'(

I have been told it might be because of the Southbridge controller on the CPU, but I have no idea what to do from here!

Thanks guys :D

That will run like crap though emulating PPC hardware. AMd processors natively run Intel instruction set without modification, so I'd prefer to be able to get OSX on it, but recently from IRC I found out that it could be to do with my motherboard chipset, i.e. Nvidia Geforce 8200M chipset, and Nvidia ID075E southbridge, and have been told to customise a retail version, which I went out and bought today from the apple store. just need help with that now putting kexts together!

Please please please do a little reading before making a response like this. LawlessPPC is my username it does not mean this is an emulated ppc version of osx. All distro are osx with the addition of drivers, kernels and bootloaders. This is where they differ usually on the choice or age of those extras. This is why some work and some dont or even all wont work if there is no driver in circulation for your hardware
