I keep getting stuck in a reboot cycle while trying to install kalyway 10.5.2.
Loading darwin/x86
Loading kernel [mach kernel]
Loading HFS+ file [mach kernel] from 422d690
Loading HFS+ file [mach kernel] from 422d690
Loaddriver: loading from [system/library/extension.mkext]
Loading HFS+ file [system/library/extension.mkext] from 422d690
Loading HFS+ file [system/library/extension.mkext] from 422d690
That's how far I get before it reboots. I've tried using different kernels and the single user mode but to no luck. Usually it just loads a bunch more stuff and then reboots. Currently I have Windows 7, Windows XP, and a partition of HFS+ waiting for Mac OSX.
Any suggestions would help. Please and Thank You.

i heard around here u need Voodoo kernel 9.5 to get AMD processors working
For you should work iDeneb 1.4 and maybe LawlessPPC with an IDE drive.

Try another, newer distro. iPC 10.5.6 for example, or new Leo4All, iDeneb. They`re up to date and have a lot more hardware supported - it would be the easiest way to try.

I have a Compaq Presario SR5710F with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core, 250GB Sata HDD, Sata DVD RW drive, 80GB IDE HDD, IDE DVD RW drive, PNY Verto Geforce 9500GT, Belkin Wireless G Plus wireless LAN PCI card, 3GB of RAM and a nvidia nforce chipset. I go through the install setup I format my IDE drive Mac OS X extended (journaled), and pick all the right options under the cusomization part. Pleeeeeeeeeeze Sommmmmmebody tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Not seeing the pic, dude.
And Kalyway worked on my X2/SB700, but VERY slowly. It uses an old ToH kernel to boot on AMDs.
Although a second copy of the same distro yields "still waiting for root device". Maybe I got a copy with a modified kext? *shrug*
If you can't get it with Kalyway, I'd suggest both of you give LawlessPPC a try.

Lawless PPC 10.5.4 Leo fails on my compaq @ the same screen Kalyway 10.5.2 Leo does and on the same compaq.

PS Kalyway wont even load.
