Sadly I've been Googling and Googling for the NB/SB/LAN on this thing and haven't found diddly. It has a P4 processor in the 2GHz range.
Anyway, here's the trouble. No matter how I set up the install, if I use iPC it completes, but when I reboot I get the cursed "still waiting for root device" behavior...but the actual message rarely shows up in -v.
If I use iAtkos 10.5.4, the install completes, but when I reboot I get a KP with an error about the ACPI kext not being found. If I load the Kalyway or Leo4All (both 10.5.2) DVDs, Darwin crashes and reboots on both discs.
If anyone has a clue what kind of a conflict beast I'm dealing with here, thanks in advance for the help. And yes, I've tried all the prompt commands you can think of on all of them (especially since -F is mandatory on iPC).

I had this same system and it seems like I was able to install iPC beta and. iDeneb. I think that one of the iAtkos versions worked but I dont remember which. I would go with iPC, LAN, IDE, Chipset everything worked, minus the video card. I was able to use the Nvidia FX 5200 and it worked just fine.

Lol, true. So I did and I finally found the right chipset driver. Voila! Boots with iPC.
However, now it's randomly having KPs on Apple services (iCal Helper, Software Update, etc). May be due to using the Voodoo kernel. Can someone suggest a more-P4-friendly alternative, pretty please?

What should I check (what did you check) to get it running? have a Dell GX260 with gforce FX 5200.
I am not shure whitch chipset and such are in the computer, an I am guessing it is the same as yours..

Check the first two boxes under chipset drivers, the ones for ICH. Also check the one for PRO ethernet under LAN to keep it working right.
Good luck, hope you get better luck with it.

Kernel panic :(
after "ACPI_S;C_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPower Management) timed out"
What kernel did you use Ali C.? Which kernel should I try? I am installing with the nVidia legacy graphic driver, should I skip it, or maybe use the onbord graphics?

Odd. I used the Voodoo kernel, and got random KPs but did not the first time I installed it successfully.
It may also be that the slimline GX260 has different hardware in it than the regular one. If that's the case you may need to step back a bit and pick up a Tiger distro to get anywhere.
