hello i have a problem,this laptop i have which is a vgn-fs585b ,,,the internal display is not working apart from that superb laptop just needs a screen ,,i,m trying to install mac os x leopard on this laptop ,,i manage to install etc but because i have no internal display i,m using the external port vga to display ,and mac os x wont allow me to use external display i have a feeling its extending the screen to the external port ,,also is there a kext i can remove ? maybe intelframebuffer not exactly sure which one ,,can someone please help me

the vga card on this laptop is a gma 915gl again like i said i have no laptop display i,m using it via external vga port so please can someone tell me how to remove all the video drivers from library/extensions i want to delete all of them because when i try to install 10.4.8 tiger again that is also a succes and i get desktop but in low resoloution and no hardware accelaration but i,m ok with that atleast i can check things out to solve video issue ,,i installed retail leopard and again a blank screen i was hoping the retail would act like tiger basic resoloution

my main task is to remove all kext regarding vga so i can run the machine on basic vga mode please someone help

There is a way - boot in a single user mode ( -s ), mount your drive ( mount -uw / ) and them browse to /System/Library/Extensions/ and remove graphic kexts ( rm xxx.kext ), yet i cant tell you what kexts exactly because i dont know what card your laptop has.

hi and thank you for replying back to my problem,,the vga on the laptop is a intel 915gm

again like i said i,m trying to use the external vga port as the laptop has no screen so if someone can show me a way to get the vga running as when i install any distro either its a black screen or the screen becomes double and the external display becomes 2nd screen which is not usable
