Hi everyone,
I'd really apreciate if you could help me with this.
I have not seen anything saying weather or not Core i7 proseesors are supported or not.

Here is a list of my computer components:
1x 320 GB sata II
1x 750 GB sata II
Core i7 2.6 Ghz
3x 1 gig corsair 1300mhz
HIS Radeon 4850 HD graphics card
Airpace pci-e wi fi card
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4 REV. 1.0
Sata CDRW+/- DVDRW+/-

I hope thats all the info you need, and i REALLY hope that mac will work on this setup.

Core i7 is supported since the Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel (long before Apple did it :D), drivers for your Radeon 4850 you'll find here (http://osx86.radeonhd.eu/index.php?cid=1). Try the XxX 10.5.6 for installing, it worked perfectly for me and contains a 9.6.0 kernel. But there are no additional languages on this image, if you need one you have to install them later.

hey i posted something very similar, i have tried to look for other similar posts since the i7 is what people are generally upgrading to these days, the more popular a piece of hardware is the more they will develop distros to suit our hardware. Im getting XxX osx 86 as we speak and have been told by others with i7 core tech that it works flawlessly. I cant wait to get home and try for my self after distros like iPC iAtkos IDeneb etc. turned up bad and useless. BUT last night i used iAtkos and got a clean install - to my knowledge it worked fine, but i wasnt able to boot in (even trying the -x safemode option). Check my post http://www.infinitemac.com/f7/working-distro-t2450/...

if you have another distro besides XxX v2, try using this: im not expert but i know u'll only be using a single core...

at F8 boot installation type...
busratio=20 fsb=133 cpus=1 -v -f

@ Anarchyw
What do you mean that you know ill only be using a single core?

core i7 - processor appears to the OS as eight CPUs (4 cores)

i finally got an installation to complete but when i went to restart and boot into the installation it kept restarting, so i used busratio=24 cpus=1 fsb=133 -v -f and then it gave me the error "using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers"....
Can someone please help me with what kexts i need to replace and where i can get them from???
