Hi all, new to OSX and all the things that go with it.
I'm trying to install OSX and not getting very far, so far I've tried 3 distro's, they are:
iATKOS_5i
iDeneb_v1.4_OSx86
iPC_OSx86_10_5_6_Universal_PPF5_Final
So far they have not worked, Ideneb and iPC both get to the same point, before they stop, I can get them to run, get to the part where I format my drive to the correct one used for OSX (Mac OS Extended (Journaled)), then choose what I want to install (including the customizations, and for the record I've fiddled around lots with these and nothing so far seems to change the outcome, so I've been sticking to vanilla installs so far)
Anyway, OSX begins to install on the hard disk, then after maybe 1-2 minutes the screen goes grey for a minute, then the crash window pops up and says that there's been a:
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0000) at 0x00000001
With iATKOS I have to use the cpus=1 to even get it to the point where I can install, once it starts to install it gets further than the other 2 distro's and comes up with the following error:
Install Failed, Mac OSX could not be installed on your computer, The installer could not validate the contents of the '10.5.5.Intel' package.
Any help you can give would be appreciated, btw I've also tried the -legacy -v -x switches, but they don't make any differance.
My computers specs are:
Name Intel Pentium D 830
Specification Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz
Package Socket 775 LGA
Instructions sets MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, EM64T
Motherboard XFX Nforce 680i LT
Chipset NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI SPP rev. A2
Graphics Leadtek Nvida 260 896mb
