View Full Version : Problem installing iPC OSx86 Leopard 10.5.6 Intel AMD SSE2 SSE3 on Intel 845GV

Hi all,

I'm a newbie to mac..

Need some suggestions as to what settings(drivers,patches,...) do i need to include to install mac on my system.

Intel 845GV chipset
Intel P4 processor 2.8 GHz
512 RAM

Well, what you need is :
- Kernel with SSE2 support cause you have P4
- chipset drivers ( dont know what chipset you have there )
- Seatbelt if you`re going for 10.5.6

The rest is "optional" - it`s safe to install the system without gfx drivers etc. so you can boot and check if it`s working or not, then install missing drivers like gfx or audio.

Thank you so much for the reply.

I've tried out the voodoo kernel with seatbelt but it still gives kernel panic.

And i guess the Intel 845GV isn't very popular.

Moreover as I'm new to this i might not have been able to provide the spec which might help u to tell what settings might be helpful for my comp.
