Acer Extensa 5220 dvd drive not working

I am hoping someone can help with this.

I have an Acer Extensa with iDeneb running on it, everything works fine except the dvd drive is not recognised.

The drive works fine during install but once install is complete it no longer sees the device which is a TSSTCorp TS-L632H.

Hello guys, i have an Acer Extensa 5220 specs as follows
--Core 2 Duo T8300
--2Gb ram
--120Gb hard drive with 3 partitions
--Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family
--x3100 graphics card
--(the display screen is of the extensa 5620z-after the original broke )
And i want to install OSX, i read through the forum but i did not get what i am looking for,
please give me a detailed way of install leopard on this laptop, my first choice is 10.6. i once tried osx86 10.5.6 but failed to boot after install, now i have a Snow leo 10.6 but it is to install,it does not give any error info,it remains blank after selecting the boot dvd and thats it-nothing happens.
