Running 10.5.5 via iATKOS 5i on eMachine T5048. Is there a way I can get my Logitech Quickcam 3000 to work?

There you go. It should work just fine with almost every Logitech cam. No microphone support though if your cam has it.

I've just noticed this is open source...

Noob here. I have the QuickCam Pro 9000 and I use it with Photobooth all the time. As for no sound, the QC is my only sound input device and is working at all times.

I installed Samsung Pleomax on my wife's computer
found a trick to have it working with full functions.
1- download Macam
2- open macam and launch (play button)
3- at the bottom of the macam windows there is somthing like "connected to <webcam
component model>
for me it was "zc0302"
4- look over the net for the OSX driver working with the component
I just typed "zc0302 osx" found somthing like vimicro zc0302 driver for osx.
I installed it and now have full function ( fluid video with all avaiable resolutions, full options mic and it works also with photobooth and skype"
as th driver comes with it's own software , i unistalled macam right after and everything is ok
