View Full Version : Sound not working on Leopard

Hello i just installed iPC 10.5.6 and my sound does not work.I selected the right drivers during the install but it does not work.Everything else works fine.My motherboard is asus P5KPL-VM.As i know the driver is Realteck ALC883.Can somebody tell me what i can do to fix this??? Where can i find this driver to get my sound working????

I also noticed that in the iPC and XxX images the audio installer packages aren't working. If you have inserted the iPC disc, there should be a folder 'System'. Inside this folder search Installation/Packages/OSx86Patches, There should be various versions of ALC883, test which version works for you. If the installer packages don't work at all I'll help again.

woah woah woah, there are those on the DVD???? i hope they have mine(so damn rarely supported...) Realtek ACL860

eh... no dice, oh well, i installed the ALC861, figured it had the best chance of working cause it was closer to mine but oh well
