Leave the OSx86 scene?! why? :( You will probably still need us all, just because you go retail doesn't mean its like a real Mac and you won't have problems ;) Retail is just a little bit cleaner and a bit more straight forward to update :)

Anyway, if you want a retail tutorial, try this. (http://www.infinitemac.com/f19/howto-install-retail-leopard-on-intel-near-retail-t2712/) I used that method multiple times without an issue :) and you can have a completely unmodified install! Hope that info helped.. Good luck on the build!

Yep, that's right. Don't expect that PC hardware is the exact the same hardware than the one Apple is using. Maybe if possible comes an firmware upgrade for your gfx card on Apple Software Update (like for my Radeon HD2600XT) and you'll install it blindly you may crash it. In case of the Radeon HD2600XT is the Apple's Flash ROM twice as big because it has to hold the EFI and the gfx card's fimware. The OSx86 based kernals and Extensions are often much better adapted for PC hardware than Apple Retail software. And if they may appear problems with Chameleon and so on...

By the way, I think it's really impolitely to announce that you're leaving the OSx86 scene. Haha, thanks for having a nice time and all the work you did for me, but now I don't need you anymore. No good style (N) If you're thinking that way it's possible that noone is interested in solving your problems, thought about that?

a quick word of advice i thought the same as you when i bought a p35 board, supposedly the best board for hacks and none of the online tutorials actually worked like they had said, it was only after the very kind and generous help of Milanca that i got it working, so if i was you i wouldnt be surprised if it doesnt work first time.
