Nvidia 8600GT 256MB

I've installed Ideneb and it's going smooth but when i move, resize, scroll down windows it suddenly reflects/flips the content of the window upside down. It's strange but graphic accelration is enabled and quartz is (disabled quartz) but it doesn't change anything.

a) How do I disbale graphic acceleration?
b) Do you know how to fix it?

Thanks :D

b) There is a installation log but I dont remember where its put by default. Maybe in the console you can see it?
c) I think thats because you dont have graphics acceleration, check the system profile in the graphics section.

I remmebered I wrote them down now lol, I checked system profile and it's detected my graphics card and I do see core: graphic acceleration so I presume it's enabled.

Update: So I figured the cause or well not really fixed it but know why,

If I use a EFI string it will load fine but QE/CI isn't supported.
However if I use an injector, the QE/CI is perfectly enabled but whenever i move, scroll the window the window will reflect/flip it's content.

Temp. Fix: Just leave it as EFI string and hope to fix it once more research is done in the future :)

Unless you guys can be of assistance.

I'm not sure what you mean with window reflect/flip its content, maybe if you post a screenshot, but scrolling and dragging windows cause graphical bugs on my 8600GTS when QE/CI is not accelerated (it is be enabled but software-only, not hardware-accelerated).

the process is painstaking to go back to lol; but I'll describe it.

If I drag the window to move it; it will show the desktop upside down in the box and if i move it; it just repeats; It's like a screen tear but it mirrors the desktop. It's very strange and it's hard to describe but basically is what i said... It's like really hard to explain.. =.=;

If I scroll a window the content of the window will turn upside down..
say I was looking at a website on safari; it will just turn google upside down. I'll get some images up tomorrow if you still don't understand.

How did you install your graphics card? or did it work out of box?

NVinject 1.2.1 works like a EFI string; QE/CI disabled.
I know NVkush enables it, not sure about NvDarwin.

The problem is known as Artifacts?

This is basically what happens:

Well it looks you got CI/QE Hardware Accelerated with NVDarwin at least so my guess was wrong I'm afraid.
I get similar artifacts but only with Software CI/QE.
My card works non-accelerated out of the box and it works without those troubles accelerated with either EFI String or injectors, so I'm afraid I cant be of much help.

I heard graphic acceleration is the reason and cause for the tearing; how do I disable graphic acceleration?

You can do it removing the graphics injector you are using (NVDarwin).
But OS X desktop is not enjoyable without acceleration so maybe a better option would be find out another solution.

I didn't mean acceleration how switch your CI to Software and still have QE?

I used a software called Mouseposé and it fixed the moving of the windows but scrolling still concurs mouse tearing.

I'm not sure about that, I think OS X defaults to Software CI in my 8600 GTS when not using any injector or EFI String, thats the default mode for me, and when scrolling bugs occur.
I'm suspecting that maybe you dont have acceleration even if its reported as you do in System Profiler.

I have used efi studio to edit plist for my similar video. You can try playing around with the plists, and I also had good luck selecting the 7300GT string, even tho I have the 8600 like yours. Mine is working great now, even still showing the 7300 under sys profiler. As long as you can grab a window, and shake it around the screen without leaving trails, your system is working.;)
