http://www.support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/2008/Godzilla/1015639R/1015639Rsp2.shtml

so what happens is that after iAktos succcessfully installed, and i attempted to boot up hackintosh for the first time, the apple loading screen with the wheel came, then after a minute the screen flashed blue for about 2-3 seconds, then turned black and thats it, what can i do to prevent this and successfully boot into hackintosh? Please help!

when it says Press F8 to enter startup options press it, then enter -v -x, tell us what happens, and what the last line is when it stops working.

Boot with -x for the first time. It probably has problems with loading the welcome video as your gfx is not yet supported.

Hey everyone. I'm hoping somebody can help me out here. I have this exact same problem. I ran -v -x it loads a bunch of things then it goes black then every a minute or so it flashes green and goes black again and one of my monitors turns to "No Signal"

I would REALLY appreciate some help.

My system is:
CPU: Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD4P LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 6GB
VIDEO: 2 x SAPPHIRE 100258-1GL Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 (In crossfire mode, using DVI ports)

These are the options I selected:
PARTITION: Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
SYSTEM: iATKOS v5i Main System
BOOTLOADER: Chameleon
DECRYPTER: AppleDecrypt
SMBIOS DRIVER: SMBIOS-Resolver
KERNAL: 9.5.0 Kernel fassl
ACPI: Stock ACPI Modified
Disabler.kext

Drivers:
VGA - Natit Universal
SYSTEM - Intel SATA
NETWORK: nForce Ethernet

Again any help you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated :) Thanks!

Delete NVDAresman.kext !

This is the ofending kext 99% of the time.

You sould have your screen, but with stock resolution and no QE CI, but this is also a symptom of a non-correct gfx setup anyways.

From here, at least, you are able to test the system, retrieve info, install kexts to test etc etc...

Nothing to do with NVDAresman.kext. The problem is that your Intel GMA X3100 isn't supported in 10.5.5. So forget 5i (which is 10.5.5).

Apple added pretty decent support for the X3100 in 10.5.6 (but still many cards failed) and 10.5.7 (which pretty much works for everyone).

Download iAtkos 10.5.7 and give it a go. You should get full QE/CI.
