Leopard 10.5.6 Installs but then starts windows

I installed Leopard ok with iDeneb.
When restarting installation of DVD start again.
If I take out DVD, windows xp start.
I copy chain0 to windows and windows bootloader detect Leopard but can not load it.

I have Asus M3A78-EM
The hard drive was not getting detected in the installation. Then I changed the SATA to AHCI Mode and then it worked fine and I could proceed with the installation.
I have Windows xp and vista.

First, download the 2.0 version of Chameleon. Then put it onto a flashdrive. Now u have to make the Mac HD boot as ur primary partition.

These people probably forgot to set the MacOSX partition "Active"

A common mantra provided here to newbies for setting up for installation is:
Make the partition Primary
Make the partition ID=AF (signifies an HFS partition)
Make the partition Active
There is a built-in Unix utility in MacOSX that can be used to set your partition "Active". It is called Fdisk


Setting Your Partition "Active" Using Fdisk

Words in bold below are things you must type (followed by Enter).

1. Boot your Mac OS X install dvd
2. Once the installer is running, go to the Utilities menu and open Terminal

3. Determine which disk your MacOSX partition is on

Type diskutil list

Verify which disk number holds your partition (disk0, disk1, etc.)


4. Start using Fdisk

Assuming the MacOSX disk is the first disk ("disk0"), then
type fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 <== use "rdisk" with your disk number here !!

Ignore the error "fdisk: could not open MBR file ..."


5. Determine which partition for MacOSX needs to be set "Active"

Type p

Verify which partition is for MacOSX (1, 2, 3, etc.)


6. Set the partition "Active"
Assuming it is partition 1, then
type f 1 <== use your partition number here !!


7. Save and exit

Type write

Type y (yes you are sure)

Type exit (to quit)


8. Remove the install DVD and reboot(credits for guide, Rammjet at Insanely Mac fourms)


after that is done and you can boot into OS X, install the chameleon 2.0 bootloader and restart. Then you can choose XP or Leopard. If you didnt get the right drivers for your internet in OS X, which you should download in XP and store on your flash drive, then you can just boot between OS X and XP to get the drivers and install them. good luck! :)

I have done all, and when I reboot happen this:

boot0: MBR
boot0: done

when you installed did u make it a MBR as your instal option? Although, i'm no familiar with duel booting off the same drive, I'm not sure if the instructions are the same.

But did u select MBR?
