http://infinitemac.com/images/news/chameleon3.pngNetkas has just released a new version of PC_EFI with full support for Snow Leopard. As it's now based on Chameleon 2.0 code, it also shares features such as GUI booting and smbios patching.
Patches added:
Emulating 64-bit efi pages
removed setting IODT://options by bootloader,
changed smth in hibernate for better ati compatibility
Notes:
By default it boots 64-bit snow leo kernel on 64-bit cpus, flag -x32 will force loading 32-bit kernel
Known issues: boot stalls if DSDT.aml isn’t present

I've tried it on my AMD machine, and Leo wont boot.
-Leo 10.5.7
-Voodoo Kernel 9.6.0
-Chameleon 2 RC1
Restored boot file, now it works fine again.

I think i'm gonna stick with BootThink...
Don't like the fact i needs a DSDT to boot...

Anyone have idea why this does not work for me?
dsdt.aml is in system partition root (created using DSDT Patcher/UInstaller).

Make sure you install Chameleon 2 rc1 r431 FIRST ( http://chameleon.osx86.hu/file_download/22/Chameleon-2.0-r431.pkg.zip )
BEFORE you replace "boot" with the one from netkas ... ( also the dsdt.aml should be present ... )
It should work for Leo ... ( I still can't get Snow to boot on AMD so the end effect is worthless ... )

That's exactly what i have done.
-Installed Leo 10.5.6 retail
-Installed Voodoo kernel
-Installed Chameleon 2 RC1
-Upgraded to 10.5.7
dsdt.aml created and copied to system partition root.
When I replace "boot" system will never boot. There is Chameleon boot menu, I select Leo partition, then it comes to Apple logo and just freezes. Verbose mode gives no useful info here.

Can you help to post a tutorial. I have a hard time even with the package. It does not want to install- reported "failed" every time. The only time I can do it is a fresh install into a new partition. But as far as SL, it's still no go.

Well, I already have a tutorial covering most parts...

Try booting with -x32 AND with a patched DSDT.
It's what I used ;)

My bad. But the only way for me to boot my SL 10A380 or 10A394 is with flag -x32. The funny thing is with PCEFIv9 and kernel 10A394, it sleeps well. The current v10 does not put the machine to sleep properly. That's all I can tell for right now. I'll post more once an issue comes up.

I find it easier to to lipo out the 32bit version, no flags needed just boots in 32bit mode.
