Hey guys, i installed the burned iso, so far. No problem. After the installation Prozess i have to restart. okay, i restarted. but i cant see any login or such thing. THere comes a screen after each reboot that i have to reboot again. If i take the dvd out of the dvd rom my computer tells me that there is nothing installed. but there is...

I have almost the same problem. After installing he reboots and on the gray apple screen he says i must reboot again. And so on. If i remove the dvd the screen stays blank with a blinking cursor.

i would also be very happy about any help. thanks

Try choosing MBR and reinstalling from the DVD again. Your drive was not properly flagged from the first install.

heres the deal, install and make sure your partition is configured with MBR (Master Boot Record), and assure that your HD volume is one word only, i.e. Leopard, not Macintosh HD. Lastly, make sure your Bootloader is MBR as well. Everything should fine then. =)

I installed using the MBR method and it works like a charm. However, I've tried the GUID method many times and did not succeed. Anyone knows why?

Thanks.

yes.

There's an issue with the script that installs the GUID bootloader.

Easy to fix :

1 - Boot with the DVD.
2 - Press F8, then type "-s"
3- type "cd /usr/standalone/i386"
4 - type "dd if=./guid/boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsY bs=512 count=1 (X is the disk number and Y is the partition number on which you installed Leo)
5 - type "dd if=./guid/boot0 of=/dev/diskX bs=400 count=1
6 - type "./startupfiletool -v /dev/diskXsY ./boot_v8"

I've just done that and GUID bootloader is fixed.

okay, installed the mbr - if i press f8 it tells me that there is a installation of mac os x

but. if i want to start it there appears a screen which tells me in different languages that i have to restart... this happens all the time, should i use the bootfix?

It's not related to the bootloader.
The screen with 4 languages indicates a kernel panic.

What's your cpu ?
What's the kernel you choose during installation ?

i choose the newest one the 9.2 if i am not mistaken.
i have a 4400+ SSE3 AMD ATHLON X2 64

i did this: format the c drive, where is only one partition called "leopard".
after this is choose the drivers i want to install mrb and the latest kernal and stuff. then i installed it.
it was stuck at 1 minute left.
i rebooted choose my settings again installed and finished the installation. but had no success booting after....

problems i still have:
