VLC media player black screen

I have a video card from ATI RADEON x300 and i have installed a X1050 driver, and everything works fine, but when i want to whatch a movie wih vlc media player a get a black screen, and i can hear only the sound, i have tested this on multiple movies, some problem, is my video card installed corectly or? any solutions?
