I recently installed this distro on my AMD PC, and after trying a number of settings found that the following worked:

No Sound Drivers
Nvidia Graphics Drivers, NO NVinject ticked
nForce LAN
NO Filesystem support ticked (reads NTFS/FAT 32 anyway once installed)

I also booted the installation with the flag cpus=1 -v, but I have a suspicion that this wasn't what made the difference. I think my problem came from installing the NVinject enabler. Don't bother with an enabler for now, and the install should work. If successful you will find that you can only see one resolution (1024x768) and you'll have no QE/CI either. For some reason my install isn't seeing my ethernet interface either.

I've found potential fixes for my problems on another forum, but I'm unsure as to the etiquette regarding posting links to other forums! Hope this helps

Thank you for you replay, i have tried with different options , the installation routine works till finished. after reboot where toe OS should boot up, it has stopped with the "Package 0 didnt get an HPET" so ive searched, and found solution to join terminal and rm - r AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext in /Extensions/.

now when i boot up it reboot alone here is a video :

Yesterday I've succesfully installed this distro...

How I fixed things...
Because the original distro does not support 4GB RAM, so I don't think it supports 8GB RAM also... I've edited the distro with Transmac, and added the latest NForceAta drivers... (I think you'll find these at insanelymac), then burned my edited distro - et voila!...

Sound didn't work either, for which I installed the AC97 driver from another distro - I think it was iAtkos v7

Internet didn't work in the beginning but also updated that with another driver...

And then last but not least I got my 8800GTX running with NVinstaller v.52...

For your config I would first try with adding those latest NforceAta drivers to your distro... Let me know if this works... :)

EDIT::: I forgot to mention that I managed to get this installed with an IDE DVD-drive and an IDE HD... Maybe find yourself a temporary IDE-dvd drive...

Thanks Arcum, for your reply. I will try your solution :) ive just found the AppleNForceATA.kext.zip on insanelymac. i will try it with the transmac. so that means i must "inject" all drivers in the iso, before i install ? or can i install sound, network aso. also after when the Operating System is installed ?

you can still fix network and sound drivers afterwards...

and yup - just overwrite it in the iso with transmac...

i have injected AppleNForceATA.kext in the LawlessPPCPhenomLeo and burned with transmac. HD ATA on primary master. dvd rom on sata 5. getting now "still waiting for root device". maybe now the HD with ATA not working anymore after this inject ? should i remove ApplePS2Controller.kext with transmac, inject AppleNForceATA.kext again, and burn again ?

thanks !!

edit://
ok found the sticky for this problem
regarding to it :
Solution 1 - change drive to primary [OK] (except my DVD)
Solution 2 - specify the boot disk [I TRY IT]
Solution 3 - use an IDE drive [AHA OK]
Solution 4 - use a SATA optical drive [OK,but is on SATA5]
Solution 5 - try different boot options [I TRY IT]

i will let you know if it worked. you have other ideas if it will not work whit these ?

update:

with the injected "AppleNForceATA.kext.zip" i burned with transmac,
and tried now the suggestions from 'Possible solutions for "Still waiting for root device"' - thread, without luck :

Solution 1 - HDD is already on IDE primary [OK]
Solution 2 - tried, but [still waiting for boot device]
Solution 3 - already have an IDE drive [OK]
Solution 4 - already have an SATA optical drive [OK]
Solution 5 -
rd=0s0 [still waiting foor boot device]
platform=x86pc -v [still waiting for boot device]
platform=acpi -v [still waiting for boot device]
-f -v [still waiting for boot device]
-x -v [system stopped,num lock freezed, or i have to wait > 1h ?]
http://www.pornoqueen.at/osx/IMG_0139.jpg
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you have some other suggestions ?
seems with the injected AppleNForceATA.kext.zip it didn't work either.
with the original image - without injection, i had now the only success to install it,
but it didn't boot up.
Maybe i should also try those 1-5 solutions with cpus=1 ?

any help much appreciated.

just leave your installed lawlessppc leo 10.5.4 and put IATKOS v7 DVD into your drive and boot from dvd rom, then press F8 and boot with this cmd rd=diskXsY where X stands for the number of disk on which you installed LAWLESS distro and Y stands for the partition number of disk on which you installed LAWLESS distro. examples: in my case
disk0s2 (first disk, second partition)
then hit enter it takes 2-3 min at grey apple screen and keep your eye on HDD LED or DVD LED lights repeatedly if not try again, then your lawless ppc leo 10.5.4 distro must boot, in my case it worked, i think it load all kexts from iatkosv7 distro then boots into lawless leo 10.5.4 distro.
try this may this help

Hello, excuse my poor english , i'm from Belgium.
I'm on Snow Leopard on a M4N72-E motherboard. Everything works ! Ethernet (just a bug i must activate lan after the boot process, i try to fix but i just finishing the installation), Nvidia 8500 GT (qe/ci), sound ...
Just for your help, for my experience it's impossible with IDE. I buy a DVD-ROM in sata and use the Hazard DVD ....
Kernel 10.2 - For Sound just AppleHDA - NVEnabler and NVInject for NVIDIA - NforceLan installed automatically - Must put Apple RTC (because no DSDT.aml)

It's not my first Osx, some things must be fix in the futur but installation and boot is easy ...

Over

PS : at the end of the installation i have a bug just after reboot, i must shut down with the button but no worry that's work. Suppose you know how formatting and how manage partition and boot.
M4N72-E
Ahtlon X2 5200+
2Gb DDR2 - 800
Nvidia 8500 GT
