My lenovo thinkpad t61 running iatkos v7 will not wake from sleep. I am forced to hold down the power button and then restart it manually. I've updated it to 10.5.8, but sleep didn't work correctly before that either. I have OpenHaltRestart.kext installed, but it didn't work without that either.

I am aware of that kext, and will test it shortly. I am not optimistic about it though. Have you managed to get your computer to sleep when you close the lid? I would like to get that working and then work on waking from sleep.. but if I can't get this to work I will be forced to delegate OSX to desktop use only.

UPDATE:

Well, I installed the sleepenabler.kext and it broke my install.. I couldn't even boot into single user mode to remove it. So I decided that this wasn't worth the frustration and formatted my hd and installed windows 7. I will however be installing it on my desktop once I get a new keyboard, since I'll be needing the winkey that I took off and threw away so that it doesn't interfere with battlefield 2/2142. Its a shame.. I've missed OS X since I gave my powerbook to my mother. Hopefully someone figures out what is preventing sleep from functioning properly with our laptops. I'm damn frustrated that no one on this forum or insanelymac or hackint0sh would even reply to point me in the right direction, at least to figure out what is causing the problem if not how to fix it. No one may know how to fix it yet, but I'm sure there are people out there who would know where to look to find the problem.

I found a solution for sleep problem. They work fine in my laptop (10.5.8 retail install), maybe you should give it a try.
