Hi there,

Since I saw photos of the 901 running 10A432 on the net, I couldn't longer wait to give it a try on mine, I have been trying since saturday but I am not getting it to work - I always hang at that Kernel Panic... :'(

What I have been using:

I tried this Tutorial for the first time: http://www.teknojunkie.com/2009/08/guide-snow-leopard-on-pc-10a421a-10a432-coming-soon/ (with my own DSDT)
As this didn't work I tried the latest edit by SaleoCheater (Sticky Topic) this morning in combination with the IOATAFamily.kext form here (http://www.infinitemac.com/f57/appleintelpiixata-ioata-panic-t3543/post31641.html), but the result was the same.

What I have already tried to solve it:

I tried to replace dsmos.kext with fakesmc.kext
I tried to use PC_Efi v9 instead of the Chameleon Bootloader I am currently onto, bu it gave me the "boot:0 error"
I tried with and without compliling a DSDT.aml, since I am still having a BIOS Mod with a patched DSDT table applied...

Any ideas in how to solve this are welcome. :)

I too am having the exact same trouble with my Samsung N110.

I've also tried PC EFI v10.2 as well as Chameleon but still getting the same error.

I'm not sure what kernel it is trying to boot by default, but, have your tried -x32 or arch=x86 in your boot options?

I'm not sure what kernel it is trying to boot by defaultVanilla. But I also tried the mach_kernel.test7 (modbin) result was the same.

but, have your tried -x32 or arch=x86 in your boot options?Sure I did, I tried all the common stuff like cpus=1 and so on...

But nice to see I am not the only one who isn't getting it to work.^^

On my Lenovo S10, I had kernel panics until I was able to chown/chmod/touch my extensions (/S/L/E and /E/E) and rebuild both Extensions.mkext files. I think that's all I needed, other than that I pretty much worked it out with SaCleoCheater's guide here, and some help from the Snowy link above this post. Now I'm running solid!

Thanks for the kext collection and related stuff, but still no luck with the method descripted there. (same problem)

Kext Utility says "Sorry, couldn't create Extensions.mkext"

For the one in /E/E it worked...

Any ideas?

Kext Utility says "Sorry, couldn't create Extensions.mkext"

Now that's interesting :-/ .... I've being using Kext Utility for a while and all of a sudden I"m getting the same message that it cannot build my E/E mkext file.

my netbook has an insyde bios, to me it seems nearly impossible to boot up snow,
I've tried it with BootThink 2.3.18, with Chameleon2v3, with mach_kernel.432, also mach_kernel.test7 > everytime I got nearly the same error:

CPU0 error "CPU not supported" ... cpus=1 flag set! no way this time

a working voodoo kernel could help!

I made it.

scififan68 was right - I used to install SL on 8GB USB Stick & took the Mkext Utility by pcwiz to build an Extensions.mkext slimed down to i386 & BootThink v2.3 as Bootloader - once I booted up from that USB-Stick, I restored it to the SSD & running 10.6.1 just fine now. :)

I'm in the same problem trying to get SL on my 900A. I don't know what I am getting wrong prepping the USB drive with the SL installer, folders, kexts, etc. Installing BootThink on to the USB drive gives me the kernel panic still. If you don't mind, can you list the steps?
