Are there any drivers for GTX 260 in snow leopard? The drivers I'm using are the Enabler from Netkas and the EVGA 285 driver.

Any ones that might work in 64 bit? And maybe if it support OpenCL?

Its best to use efi strings, they're 64/32bit compatible and have the best support for now. Once evga updates the drivers the combination you wanna use is strings plus the latest drivers from evga for best recognition and performance. Lemme know if you need a link to a guide for the string configuration. You'll have to remove the enablers and injectors first.

Do you have the strings for dual GTX 260? Please send me them. Also, I would have to remove the EVGA driver and Enabler if I use GFX strings?

4. Installing additional video card drivers
a. Since I've been running 2 Nvidia GTX 260-216s (honestly 2 of these cards are the best bargain for graphic performance overall compared to the gtx 295 and ATIs power-hungry cards) I installed specialized drivers which went into the S/L/E folder (the official installer did so). Since this is extra you can download these two files first try this one (http://rapidshare.de/files/47522089/NVIDIA_Retail_Mac_Driver_Installer_18.5.2f16.mpkg. zip.html) and if that one doesn't work alone install this one (http://rapidshare.de/files/47461448/Enabler_for_Nvidia_and_multiple_ATI_cards.pkg.html ) additionally. These drivers start up after the gray screen. Which means you should still keep the ATY_Init.kext in your extensions folder if you’re using chameleon GUI (not –v).

I was actually looking for 64bit capable drivers... Those seem not to work, I am using them right now.

Just a question... Will 64 bit kernel be any faster then the 32 bit one? If so, by how much?

Thanks for the support guys! I got it all working! 64 bit kernel too! THANKS!

Can you please share how you got it working? I already have the updated netkas injector and evga drivers installed but I only get 1024x768 resolution. I tried the guide at darwinx86.org and tried different EFI strings but it didn't help. :/

I have a GTX260 and Foxconn G45M-S.

Use the EVGA driver only, remove the injector, (ATY_init.kext) (Repair permissions)

Then get the EFI strings for it. (http://real3x.perso.neuf.fr/GFXstrings.zip)

Follow the tutorial on:

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.darwinx86.org%2Fguides%2Finstal ler-configurer%2F141-gfx-strings-pour-les-gtx-260280

And reboot. (repair permissions after EFI strings just incase)

Also, are you running Chameleon RC1 or RC2? Go to the Extras folder and inject the EFI strings to the Apple.com.boot.plist there instead.

Just a thing, we dont need evga drivers anymore with snowleopard, no injector of course, just the efi string (this work for standart gtx260, 2xDVI + 1xTV)
It work like a charm on x64, just follow the guide on darwinx86.org to put your right device location (PciRoot...)
In my case i used the com.apple.Boot.plist from /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

Yup, your right!

i too have dual gtx260, i followed the instruction and put the hex in the apple.com.boot.plist but i am still not getting full resolution.

any other thing i am missing?

Nope, everything should be working. Have you checked your System Preferences --> Display to ensure its at your resolution?

i used http://www.infinitemac.com/f19/guide-geforce-gtx-260-in-snow-leopard-t4057/

and i am STILL not getting the full res.

i even tried
edit the Info.plist in NVDAResman.kext (again, you might have to edit permissions to be able to write it), using some sort of Text Editor.

Look for:

<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>
<string>0x05e210de&0xfff8ffff 0x017010de&0xfff8ffff 0x017910de 0x018010de&0xfff8ffff 0x018810de 0x018910de 0x020010de&0xfff8ffff 0x025010de&0xfff8ffff 0x028010de&0xfff8ffff 0x030010de&0xfff8ffff 0x031010de&0xfff8ffff 0x031910de 0x034910de 0x05e010de&0xfff8ffff 0x05f010de&0xfff0ffff</string>

0x05e2 is my Device ID, so to get yours, go to Apple System Profiler, and you should see your Device ID there, just replace mine, save (make sure you have write permissions). Reopen the file if you really want to make sure it saved (I know, Im paranoid). Reboot, and you should have all your supported resolutions inside Displays. Good luck.

system profiler just reports it as 0mb and says i am usuing EFI, when i am actually not lol. its weird.

is there any auto installer or somthing?
and why wont efi strings give full res?

I recommend you upgrade to Chameleon RC3 and try the GraphicsEnabler option. First, you should remove any injector kexts and the EFI string from your com.apple.Boot.plist.

This option will now, for nVidia cards, usually dynamically inject the proper EFI string for the card. To try it, just type "GraphicsEnabled=y" at the Chameleon bootloader.

If it works, you can add it to your boot.plist with:

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>y</string>

It worked on an 8800 GTX and a GTX280 for me.

I think I'm going to cry :(

I've tried everything to try and get QE/CI to work!

I've made a thread over at insanelymac too: http://bit.ly/11IZGz

After I install Snow Leopard I get full resolution but no QE/CI

I tried both of the methods below but one ended up with 1024x768 resolution with QE/CI and the other ended back with full res and no QE/CI

http://www.infinitemac.com/f19/guide-gefor...-leopard-t4057/ (http://www.infinitemac.com/f19/guide-geforce-gtx-260-in-snow-leopard-t4057/)

edit the Info.plist in NVDAResman.kext

Look for:

<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>
replace string with
<string>0x05e210de&...ETC</string>Please help!! :(

I'm in completely the same place, followed the guide to the letter and still stuck with QE/CI and no res change!

Oh I forgot I'd posted here, my solution was to reinstall because clearly I'd played around with too much stuff. Here's how:

I can't do a video anymore, I finished everything. Sorry. But please show me your GFX EFI Strings, and we might tell you what you are missing.

Here is my guide: http://www.infinitemac.com/f57/guide-retail-msi-x58-platinum-sli-pictures-64-t4084/

It should be easier for you.
