This RC3 build is a small update to RC2, but we’re providing the long-awaited proper Snow Leopard extensions loading and a few fixes like 1TB+ disk addressing support. There are also some changes have been made to the graphics enabler and to the smbios patcher. Also you can even build the Chameleon sources under 10.6.

My extras folder has: fakesmc - legacyappleahci - openhalt - platformuuid - and sleepenabler
whether i use -x32 or just -v
I get these errors on boot...

Failed to load executable for kext com.psystar.driver.OpenHaltRestart.
Can't load kext org.netkas.fakesmc - link failed.
[com.superhai.driver.PlatformUUID]: The Mach-O file is malformed: Invalid magic number: 0xfeedface.
ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPower Management) timed out

then it just stops at:
AppleRTL8169Ethernet: phyWaitForAutoNegotiation TIMEOUT

What am i doing wrong here????????????????????

you need to use "arch=i386 -legacy" in the boot flags to boot in 32 bit mode. The "-x32" flag does not in Chameleon v2.0 RC 3

Installed and booted to a KP from AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. I have a -x32 flag in com.apple.boot.plist ... which obviously was ignored. Most of my custom kexts were 32 bit as I work in 32 bit, including NullCPUPowerManagement. Once I replaced the critical kext ... all it OK.

Thanks to the Chameleon team for another great release. (Y)

I was able to boot into RC3 once using the -arch=i386 -v -f

all my kexts were loaded and kext cache created i guess. Everything seemed fine. Once on the desktop i noticed that
Geekbench 64bit had a line going through it and not able to be opened. System claimed it was not my architechture. But when i boot into RC1 in 32 bit mode i've always been able to open my 64bit apps.. blink.gif

To make matters worse when i attempted to reboot I received all the old errors about my kexts not being able to be loaded. Even when i used -f or -legacy. What am i missing here.........????

I recommend NOT to "change an good running" system with an new RC3 of chameleon !
If your "Mac" boots already without any problems you may get problems by such an update without any benefit !

You are most likely not booting 10.6 with Chameleon 1.0.12 but some other thing like netkas pc efi.
Just to clarify...

I upgraded rc1 to rc3 directly with no issues, boot times is a bit faster, less timeouts during boot, dsmos arrives quicker, blackout to desktop faster, etc...

Geekbench 64 works perfect for me with RC3

yes, modded 'boot' file. actually the very file from the first hackintosh 10.6 thread here :)

My point is, if you install chameleon 1.0.12, then install some other modded "boot" file like netkas' for sl, then you are not using chameleon 1.0.12 anymore, because the bootloader IS the "boot" file
