hello , when i 'try to install the iatkos v7 on my dell vostro 1700 i' have this error :

the hardware are :
bios: version A07
cpu :intel core 2 duo 2,40 Ghz (ID: 06FB)
ram : 3 GB 667 mhz dual channel DDR2 SDRAM
harddisk: 200 GB sata
video card: nvidia 8600M GT with 256 MB
soundcard: sigmatel 9205
modem: conexant HDA D330 MDC
wired: broadcom x440
wifi: intel

i'try to boot with the " -v acpi=off cpus=2 " but nothing change :(

Hi. When installing, what options did you choose? Rule of thumb is to choose minimum kexts. You should choose only chipset kext, keyboard and mouse control. The other kexts for audio, video, network etc can be installed later.

hi, the problem is that everything hangs on that screen, does not go well ..

he didnt instal. it said Mac OS Version: Not Set Yet. he's trying to boot the installer... i think?

Try a different install cd. Give ideneb a try. Also readup and follow install tutorials on the web. That's the best advice I can give you.

hi, unfortunately I already tried both the "iDeneb" (well 2 versions), the "kailway." the only one left for me to test is the "IPC" ...

This is strange. Re-read your post. Have you tried booting the install DVD with CPUs=1?

hello, shook my mode cpus = 1 I've never tried it, because for my laptop in various forums said to do as I had tried (-v acpi = off etc.). Today I just feel a moment and I can tell if it worked
