Ok, I didn't know exactly where to post this because my install is kind of a combination of retail install then patched with kext's; I did an install of retail leopard 10.5.6 following a snow leopard tutorial, and updated to 10.5.8.

everything works great EXCEPT for my KP's when trying to rip a DVD, either with RipIt or MacTheRipper so I'm thinking it's an I/O thing. I can burn CD/DVD's just fine, just can't rip 'em!

And i've tried using all the different kernels I could find for AMD: 9.5 voodoo, 9.6 XNU, 9.7 voodoo, 9.8 Qoopz, 9.8 XNU, all the same thing so I don't think it's a kernel issue. . .

anyway, I'm googling the subject and combing the forums. . .

Do you have a picture of the KP info that comes up on the screen?

Please provide us with some specifications about your system (CPU, Motherboard, Graphics & Model Number if applicable). Adding more specific information allows us to respond quickly with more precise answers. Chipset, LAN, Audio & If your Graphics are integrated or not, are excellent additions.

You can also place this information in your "Signature". It will then appear on every post you make. How to edit your signature: http://www.infinitemac.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile#faq_vb3_signatures_av atars
