Hello im trying to make my very own DSDT for the HP NX7400 notebook. Mostly im not happy about the fact i cannot use the second core. i have been trying with the patcher, which did not work much coz the ACPI dump gets corrupted somehow, so i use a ubuntu live cd, got the dat/dsl from there, then i use the patcher, then i drooped the fixed dsdt into IASLme, the issue is after applying all this fixes my notebook still isn't working without booting with cpus=1, i have been reading about how to fix the issues with the "alias", but this bios never was with alias anyhow. i will upload the original dsl and the one im using, if someone is bored enough to take a look would be quite nice. I notice many people ask for a fixed nx7400 as well so maybe there's a way :)
Thanks

hello,
I am in the same situation! My nx7400 works fine with iDeneb, except for the second cpu.
If you find (found) a solution, please post it here.
thanx

Hi guys. I'm in the same situation. I have a nx7300 (dsdt dump says nx7400) and cpus=1 is the only option for me. iDenem, iPC and iAtkos - no difference.
I also think our bios/dsdt is total screwed.
So far the only solution is starting on battery and when the freez comes to plug ac in. Credit goes to someone on some other popular forum ;)
This work-around isn't getting me anywhere.
My observations. Sometimes (when using dual cores) the halt comes at boot (some bad calls to second cpu) and sometimes after 5-15 minutes after reaching desktop. Today i have noticed that actually the only thing that freezes is the mouse.... (both usb and touchpad - using Voodoo ps/2 here) and the keyboard is working! Pressing the power button brings up the window (sleep, reboot, shutdown, etc) but then i cannot use the keyboard anymore.
The reason i think bios/dsdt is broken is that when using linux i also get some strange side effects - the worst being lcd shutting down - i mean it stays lit up but completely black - only a restart helps. It also happens in windows and in both of those cases it is when i'm using the battery.
Yeasterday i was taking a look at the install log during iatkos setup and i have noticed an error associated with "ac_interface_power_control" flying by. I did not save the log :|
Have anybody of you tried booting vanilia macos with boot123?
What about just faking smbios? Our laptop is quite close (when it comes to specifications) to Macbook 2.1 asfaik.
