hi all

i re-edit post...
check out what i found out about snow leopard 10.6, i call apple tech-support, they said 10.6 is boot in 64-bit mode, but in the background of the kernal right next to 32-bit kernal mode. so i said o.k., they said to test if snow leopard 10.6 is running in 64-bit mode, download this apps and run it, and reboot your system. so i when to that web-site at::: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Download-Mac-OS-X-10-6-32-64-Bit-Kernel-Startup-Mode-Selector-1-3-121054.shtml // and download the file, thats zip file. so i ran it and reboot my system, this what i got.

O.K. GUYS Does that make any sense ABOVE WHAT APPLE SAID TO DO....

snow leopard 10.6.1 boot in full 64-bit mode, but i lost video graphic setting., graphic loading in standard mode 1024x768, that the only thing i lost..eveything else working o.k. infact it running ===>
SUPER FAST. I TIME IT ON BOOT LOAD, Snow Leopard load in Exact 13.5 Seconds.
anythnig that i open it fash right on screnn that wicket men.,I never seen mac os x run that fast before.

here is a pics of my com.apple.boot.plist after the apps ran 32/64 switch...check this out.

so is there a 64-bit driver NVIDIA for snow leopard 10.6 or is there way to fix this...
O, bye the way look at PIC 1# is that line Suppost to be there { arch=x86_64_u and it ends at the bottom.

Use efi strings using the manual GFXUtil method. Anyway, so your memory is at 1600? Its like mine, shouldn't be a big difference.

Haha, your right about the boot time! I overclocked my ram to 7-7-7-20 1t/n and 1320 mhz (from 990) and my boot time went down to 14 seconds. Yay. Thanks. Do not switch the to 64 bit in the APP. Go to the Extra/ or the original location of the Com.Apple.Boot.Plist,m and add -x64 if you have Chameleon RC1/2, If you have RC3, use arch=x86_64.

Also, try putting the EFI string in the Extras folder or DSDT.

Just get Chameleon RC1 installer, and use Netkas 10.3 PCEFI, or get Chameleon RC3.

RC3 installer located somewhere one the forum.

So according to that app i've got everything in 64-bit except EFI. How do i change that? I'm assuming my hardware's capable. Not sure though.

Your running Chameleon RC3. Get Netkas PCEFI 10.3, it has EFI64 pages.

Ah. Figured it was probably something with the bootloader. That's ok. I've got this thing purring pretty good except for sleep. I'm sure a chameleon update'll throw 64bit EFI in there soon enough. Thanks for the info :)
