I have been trying to install Leo4allV3 10.5.2 on my PC for months but have given up on it as I think its just too old and not supported. But now I am trying to get it to work on my brothers laptop.

http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/office/mobile-computing/notebooks/NP-R610-AS01US/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=spec
Samsung R610
Core 2 Duo T5800 2.0ghz
NVIDIA 9200m 512mb DDR2
4gb DDR2 Kingston HyperX 800mhz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104026

I really just don't see why it wouldn't work. First I was getting the "Still waiting for root device" error. Then I reinstalled and played w/ the drivers a little. Now every time it starts to boot to where it would get that error it restarts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I already screwed up his Windows 7 install so he lost everything and I'd at least like to get this working for him.

And if theres any chance of it working on my computer at all I have a:
Asus P4P800 SE motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131484
P4 2.8ghz, 800mhz FSB, 1mb L2 cache, Prescott core (not sure if this one is w/ HT or w/o)
1.5GB Ultra PC3200 RAM
Genuine ATI 9600 SE 128mb video card

I am getting the still waiting for root device error on this one too. I haven't played with the drivers list though as I really just learned of that today.

You are missing the correct Chipset driver on both, to get past of swfrd. For your PC it's "Intel (ICHx)" for the notebook I don't know - as there aren't enaugh usefull HW infos on the net - guess you'll need to figure out the used SB on your own. ;)

I am trying a differant version right now. Don't know what but it did have my chipset drivers! So I will see what happens! Not sure how to find out much on my brothers laptop though... Not much info available.

Well I got Leo4all working on my desktop! I am actually posting from it right now but have some issues. I need to install my Radeon 9600 se/pro drivers (says pro on start up but Ive always thought it was an SE) but it seems that should be built into mac but yet I have no resolution options and 1024x768 on 20.1" LG monitor is no fun. Also my sound isn't working. I tried 2 differant drivers for that on install neither of which worked. Next try would be AC97 but I'm not convinced.

So mainly my issues are w/ me not knowing what I am doing but any help would be great.
