I'm tired of updating my leopards and trying to get this to work and that driver to install- I just want a good solid working computer, which seems like I haven't had that since the days of my first hackintosh using Tiger 10.4.11 on my trusty old Sempron single core, so I'm headin' back. . .(that is until the dust settles with S.L. for AMD's)

Tiger runs faster, snappier and since I'm already running it on my G5 it is no problem! Who needs shiny new exciting eye candy with apps that will only run on Leopard?

I think I'm the only person that feels this way. . .

Yeah, you probably are ;) Might be time to upgrade that hardware. Leopard is a lot more than eye candy. I can't imagine going back to Tiger. Quicklook and stacks are the shiz. More power to ya, though.

That's just it. I DID upgrade, to a quad core Phenom AMD with 4 gigs of ram, and you know what? Leopard IS better than tiger! I don't know what I was thinking. . .sorry about this post

Vista on 512mb of RAM? Ouch. Yeah ptesone, I bet after a couple days back on Tiger you'd be missing the finer points of Leo ;)

Yeah I'm sure Leo get's a bit fussy on a P4 system. I bet you could build a pretty decent rig for about $400 that'd wipe the floor with that P4 and be less of a headache with OS X. I was getting KP's about every other day using iPC. Seemed like a memory leak somewhere, although it was probably more some software I was using rather than the distro. I have yet to reintroduce everything on SL that I was using on iPC, but SL has been rock solid since I installed it. Not a single KP (well, that I didn't introduce myself since i can't leave well enough alone).

Tiger was good for what it was, I Used it on my G4 AGP to build my first OSx86 ISO image with the brazilmac patcher.

"Like the OS for what it is, then move on to the next"
