Bought this rig 2 years ago and no luck in trying out osx86
MB: GA-X38-DS5
CPU: Core 2 Duo E6750
Graphic: HD 3870 512MB DDR4
HD: WD Caviar Green 500GB
Tried distro initially, but unable to get proper kext installed, startup text listings doesn't shed light on the cause.
Then tried installing SL straight... with prasys' guide. But progress stuck around the "sudo" commands, unable to create proper extensions. No luck with the USB+installers either.
Heard that X38 will have issues, but can't find proper documentations.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
update:
So far suceeded with Kalyway 10.5.2. but needed to swap in my 7300GT. Now it runs, but so far no sound/LAN and the other USB though provides power but not connecting to the OS (erm... trying to say USB devices not detected).
