View Full Version : SATA DVD-RW Disappear. DSDT Fix Needed

Hi,
I saw somewhere a dsdt patch to fix a strange issue. Unfortunately I don't remember the link.
I have a PIONEER DVD+RW DVR-216D SATA Drive. Sometimes, the DVD Drive disappear in system profiler for no reason.
I'm not exactly sure, but I noticed it disappear only when the drive is used to read/burn.

How can I find this DSDT patch?

get an LG DVD RW

it´s cheap and works well

Yes I bought an LG DVR-RW GH22NS40 (SATA/AHCI). It sucks! Mac OS X is trying to access the drive every 10 minutes. No log messages, just noise every 10 minutes.
