Hi People,

I was running Windows 7 on my PC and i tried installing the iAtkos 3.0 on my PC, i followed all the instructions to do this and i installed it fine in the first shot but then when it restarts it gives me a message "No Bootable Device found, Please insert boot device and try again."

I have formatted partition using disc utility(in Mac OS X Journled) from the install disc and there the other 2 NTFS partitions show up, but in the start up disc option only network boot shows up there. :(

I have changed the settings in BIOS to boot from HD. In BIOS also the HD shows up there.

I have tried reinstalling and its the same thing. I am now currently downloading iAtkos 7 and will try to install it. Any advice as to why this is happening or how i can avoid this would be great.!!

The config of my PC is :

Intel DG945GS Mother Board with Core2Duo @6300 1.68 GHz..
USB KB and Mouse.
NVIDIA GeForce 6200 LE (256MB)
2 GB RAM.
SATA HD.
PATA Optical Drive

i don mind it if the internet works or not. i just need to test a couple of things before i actually go buy a MacBook Pro.

Also any hope of me getting my other 2 NTFS partitions.? i did not make a data backup before i tried this.

Also should i first install OS X or Windows 7 if im trying to run a dual boot.?

Any advice would be really helpful..

Paul.

That message probably come from your BIOS, not from OS X or Windows, maybe something got wrong with your partitions, how did you make the partition for OS X?

Sounds like no boot loader, What boot loader are you using in the MBR? If any at all?

i initiall had shrunk an NTFS partition using Windows 7 and then formatted it using disc utility from the OS X install disc. its 20GB. My BIOS screen comes up fine but nothing else shows up.!!

iAtkos should have installed a bootloader unless you disable it in the install options, the question is why it didnt work, maybe the installer doesnt like your partition's layout.
You can try to reinstall it from the DVD but I dont know how it would work (never used iAtkos 3.0).
Also you can install latest versions of chameleon (2.0 RC3 or PCEFI 10.3) using manual installation, booting from the DVD and using the Terminal.
