I have adapted the Callisto framebuffer so that it works on Snow Leopard with the 32-bit kernel.
Handy for ATI cards that aren't supported by the Apple ATI framebuffer (to get resolution support).

Update - For Mac OS X 10.6.2 (only)
-- New --
- Auto matching for all ATI graphics cards
- Easy installer

Question 1:
Yes just for resolution support... Callisto is an IOFramebuffer, not an IOAccelerator.
You can use an IOAccelerator modded for using Callisto as the framebufer to attach to but that doesn't work for all ATI cards...

Question 2:
Just edit in CallistoHAL.kext the Info.plist
Modify IOPCIMatch to match your videocard.
Standard it is set to 5a621002&0xffffffff (ATI Radeon Xpress 200M)
Thus first the device id and then the vendor id.

Try the new one (update to 10.6.2 first if you haven't allready).
It should work easily like a charm for all.

Hi Andy

Thanks for all your hard work. I have iatkos S3 V2 10.6.3 with an ATI Radeon X600 with Y cable for dual monitors.

Will this work to give me dual displays?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Regards
Russ

I have this working on 1280x800 "looks great btw" thanks!. however it is so slow that even youtube with flash 11.0 won't play. Is this normal without IOacceleration? or did I do something wrong?
