This small update with the big name contains only a couple of updated kexts: IOAHCIFamily.kext and IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext, that are supposed to:
(from Apple) ...address intermittent hard drive-related stalls reported by a small number of customers.
It turns out this update is targetted only to Macs with an NVIDIA MCP79 SATA AHCI chipset, so I havent installed on my sys.
If you have any other NVIDIA SATA chipset running in AHCI mode (not in IDE mode) you may want try this if you have problems like the ones mentioned. You would need to extract the kexts from the package with Pacifist and install them manually.
