After complete install and initial reboot with iDenebv1.6 10.5.8 Lite and after using boot-flag "-v", it gets stuck at:

"MAC Framework successfully initialized
using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers"

I think I've searched everywhere but I guess obviously not. Please Help! I'm also new to this, only been researching it for the past week or less. Thanks for all your help

My Specs: ASUS G60VX
PROCESSOR: Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo P7350 @ 2.00GHZ
SSE: SSE4.1
CHIPSET: Intel PM45
SOUTHBRIDGE: Intel 82801M (ICH9-M)
MEMORY: DDR2
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M

Let me know if there's any more information you need.
Btw I'm booting the MAC OS X from an external hdd.

Hi

I had similar issue with this but got it installed with Vanilla kernel, ACPI Fix, ACHI FIX and ICHx fix on the fix selection and it boots in nicely.

Please give it a try.

BTW, check you bios if your sleep mode is set to S1. I tried S3 and it just hangs there like your case.

Another problem could be due to your DVD that you have burnt is not reading properly.

Try to monitor the bar on installation. If there is a big jump on the installation progress bar, try to use another DVD to install it. I had burnt 10 pcs of these DVD at 1X before I could successfully install it.

Good luck trying.

Mister burns, it's a well known ACPI error. You need the ACPI fix as mentioned by galee above. Do you have a working OS X install setup? I can probably dig out the kext you need.

Hey thanks guys! I've recently looked into actually using a retail disk downloaded. The tutorial is from: ihackintosh.com (http://www.ihackintosh.com/2009/01/install-mac-leopard-os-x-retail-dvd-on-a-ordinary-pc-with-boot-132-hack/). I'm gonna try to finish that project tomorrow. It uses a boot-32 disk and chameleon and the retail disk. If it doesn't work I'll try you guys' solutions. Thank you so much for your replies.

galee: oh and so I do want it set to S1 or S3?

Mister.Burns

I checked on my pc by using command prompt: "powercfg -a" and press Enter and it said that only S3 is supported by my pc and that S1 and S2 are not. Does that mean I cannot do it that way or that I just have to change a setting?

@ galee

I found all those fixes but could not find achi fix. And there are big jumps within loading bar. Mayr I'll just have to reburn it at 1x. I have done it at 4x. But if this doesn't work, I'll try it at 1x.

Sorry, it is AHCI fix... haha silly typo...

I guess it is all the burning process issue. I was in this forum asking for help on the same problem with yours and u can see, there is no one here replied any of my post... I know how u feel (Frustrated)...

These error burnt DVD will complete the installation (which is weird) successfully and it is a time wasted to derive on what is the main culprit that is giving u the problem.

Try burning another copy and reinstall again. Good luck.

Here's all the options for install: options.jpg (http://ihackintosh.org/attachments/040_iDeneb_v1.6_1058_Lite_Edition_1.jpg). I do not see "ACHI fix" the words exactly. Could you please look at these and let me know which to pick? IS it just those four boxes I need to check, voodoo kernel and ACHI fix and ICHx fix and ACPI fix, and that's it?

Thanks

Hi Mister.Burns,

is there anyway to have your mainboard's full specs, like the LAN, wireless n all.

Based pm your specs shown here, I will go for

Ideneb main system

9.8.0 vanilla or qoopz (which ever that works. if it is not working on either one, then u will see auto reboot on every startup. my system works with Qoopz 9.8.0)

Ideneb essential patch, leave it as default.

PS2 drivers leave it if you are using USB keyboard n mouse. (adviceable to use USB KB and mouse)

under FIX go for Seatbelt fix. (make sure u select this other wise when your mac is running, then you will face kernel panic extracting DMG files)

Drivers, you will need to know what is your system's hardware model.

For Audio, go for VOODOOHDA (works for most 7.1 surround sound card)

For Chipset, go for ACHI SATA/IDE and ICHX Fixed.

Network, go for your network card type. If it is not listed there, skip it. You can always add kext for your specific driver. Same goes for your wireless.

System management, I left it blank without any selection. (u practically needed it if you are using intel bases speedstep, battery operated laptop)

Video card, I have a 9500GT 512MB card so I went for Nvdia inject 512mb. Intel graphics kext on this might not work so if you are using onboard graphics card, don bother to install the Intel GMA drivers from this list. Install the kext saparately after you have your hackintosh installed.

I have all my language translation installed.

This is what I have on my system...

Happy trying.

I see the wireless should work on your notebook. The only thing is your gigabit lan... most do a search online... I am sure someone have got the driver for it.

No harm trying and do keep us all updated... cheers.

Hi,

Can you tell me which kernel patch u used? u can either use vanilla kernel or qoopz kernel. It wont work if you select both. If Vanilla is not working, try the Qoopz.

Mister.Burns

I used vanilla but I will try qoopz when I get back from class. Thanks

Hi,

I guess, you can try the other kernels available on the ideneb....

As I know you can skip voodoo 9.5.
