i am currently using iPC with a hd2600pro and am currently looking for a replacement...

i have a amd 6000+ sb600 chipset system running on iPC 10.5.6 with 9.5.0 voodoo kernel... what i want is a graphic card that is faster then the hd2600pro... but not so fast that the cpu will slow it down but at the same time which will be supported by netkas pc efi graphics enabler.

or should i switch to nvidia?

what do you guys think?

Well, I switched to an nVidia card (8400 GS) from an ATI x1650 Pro. It is fully supported both in Leo and Snow Leo just using PC EFI's graphics enabler. It is as fast as my previous card and works great. I do not know if it is faster than the HD2600 Pro, so I can't comment on that.

anything with more power from nvidia that is supported ... or is 8400gs good enough for amd 6000+?

Well I use that card for graphic design and have no problems at all. The OS effects are smooth and everything works well. The card is cheap and if you are not going to do heavy video editing or related tasks I think it should work well for you.
