Boot with -v and see the problem!
Do you use DSMS or FakeSMC.
Do you have removed the unused drivers like videocard drivers you don't need?
Do you have the correct permissions?
Do you have 10.6, 10.6.1, 10.6.2

Hi, I take it iPC is a Leopard Distro but what is the name of the Snow Leopard Distro you used?

Thanks

Open a Terminal window and type:
cp /var/log/system.log ./Desktop
Upload the file from your Desktop here, so that we might be able to see, what might cause a longer start-up time.

Sorry the information I was looking for was no longer present in your log file, as it is crammed from the beginning to the end with messages caused by iStat. :-/ (This is normal as iStat cannot get all the information a real Macs firmware provides & I am pretty sure it ain't the reson for your problem too - it's just annoing when you are trying to get information from the system.log file ;) )

Try to disable iStat, delete current system.log & reboot - then maybe even have a look at the file by yourself - it contains an overview of what happend at what time - should be easy to find the lines where it takes longer. ;)
