I've never installed any mac OS onto a PC, but I've installed a ton of windows OSes onto PCs and I've installed Tiger onto a PowerMac G4, so I semi-know what I'm doing, but please bear with me as it's my first time with a Hackintosh.

I'm trying to put Leopard on my old NC6000 Laptop, I've been working on it for about four hours.

I tried using iATKOS v1.0i, I used -v -x, and it ran fine for about 3 minutes and it got to this:
Mac Framework successfully intialized
using 2621 buffer headers and 26121 cluster IO buffer headers
Extension "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi componenets; use only one style

then it froze, and I left it there for two and a half hours, and didn't budge. So now I'm downloading Leo4allv3final, there's about 2 hours and 7 minutes left on the download.

I'm essentially asking for someone to tell me if it will work, and if it can then tell me what to do next, and if it won't then what I can do to install leopard.

Also, the file I'm downloading is a folder with 36 zip archives labelled V3part01 - V3part36, what do I do with those?

First of all:
Please remove the WRZ Links and read the rules (http://www.infinitemac.com/misc.php?do=cfrules) of this board; specialy No. 9

The ACPI issue can be fixed with a DSDT with patched CPU aliases. You might try iAtkos v7 if you won't be able to make it using Leo4All, as latest iAtkos allows you to create patched DSDT within installation.

sorry for the rule breaking, I've read them now :x

uhm, I've installed Leo4all, but when I try to boot up, I get an error:
in8_ifattach: lo8 failed to attach a linklocal address.
still waiting for root device.
still waiting for root device.
still waiting for root device.
still waiting for root device.
still waiting for root device.
still waiting for root device.

and then the root device thing gets listed every minute until it consumes my screen. I'm completely lost now.

If your book matches with this (http://www.linuxforen.de/forums/showthread.php?t=236182), you will need ICHx Fix / Intel IDE / SATA chipset driver.

ok, those are my computer's specs. I would read that thread to try to find more information, but unfortunately I do no speak Swedish or is that German :x I think it's German.

Back on topic, how do I get those three things?

It's about the posted lspci output with extended hardware info & adresses not the matter on the topic itself.

Back on topic, how do I get those three things? It's one and the same - fixed Intel chipset driver - just possible names on your distos customization section.
