Hi, I am just just two noticeable problems from building a perfect snow hackintosh for myself.

Firstly, I am having problems with kernel panic generated by "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform(1.3)", after much experimentation i found out that the GMA950 hack in my modified dsdt that causing the 'AppleACPIPlatform' kernel panic. I have modified my dsdt for snow leopard using DSDTSE v1.3.3, the dsdt was modified successfully with 0 errors, 0 warnings. But the 'GMA950' hack in the modified dsdt gives "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform(1.3)" kernel panic when i try to boot snow leopard in 64-bit mode only, no such problems in 32-bit mode. If i remove the 'GMA950' hack(leaving other hacks same as it is) in my modified dsdt, i am able to boot into snow leopard in 64-bit mode. I guess this may be because the 'GMA950' kexts in SL 10.6.0 are 32-bit only(i have read this on the internet), so yesterday i updated to 10.6.2 as i read that it includes 64-bit kexts for GMA950. But the problem still persists. But if i remove the 'GMA950' hack from dsdt, i am only getting only one resolution(both in 32-bit & 64-bit) & sleep is not working. If some one knows the fix for this problem or any 'GMA950' kexts for 64-bit, please let me know.

And this is the kernel panic I am getting when I try to boot into snow leopard in 64-bit mode with 'GMA950' hack in dsdt.

Secondly, a distorted or blurry sound after waking up from sleep. The sound works quite good with vodoohda put in S/L/E, but after waking up from sleep a blurry or distorted sound comes even for the regular system sounds(deleting files, emptying trash). Can u please tell me how to fix this?.

I hope i get some suggestions from the members.

My system specs are: Intel Core2Duo 2Ghz, Intel 945GCNL motheroard with Onboard GMA 950 graphics, onboard realtek HDA(alc888 codec), onboard realtek 8111/8168 family ethernet, 1.5 GB DDR2 RAM, two 160 GB SATA HDD, One LG IDE DVD RAM drive.

I don't know about GMA950, I reckon just run in 32 bit.

Latest voodooHDA 0.2.5.2 is meant to fix sleep issue http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=355&st=0&start=0

Can you got to SystemProfiler and look up your GMA950's Device-ID?
Maybe there is a working EFI-String or Natit based solution for it? :)

First of all thank you very much for your answers.

Can you got to SystemProfiler and look up your GMA950's Device-ID?
Maybe there is a working EFI-String or Natit based solution for it? :)

Intel GMA 950:

Chipset Model: GMA 950
Type: GPU
Bus: Built-In
VRAM (Total): 64 MB of Shared System Memory
Vendor: Intel (0x8086)
Device ID: 0x2772
Revision ID: 0x0002
Displays:
Display Connector:
Status: No Display Connected
SyncMaster:
Resolution: 1024 x 768 @ 75 Hz
Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Rotation: Supported

I tried booting into snow leopard in 64-bit mode with dsdt(without gma950 hack) & efi string that i used in iatkos v7 10.5.7, i was albe to boot into 64-bit but GMA950 was not detected & i got only one resolution.

If u can help me in this matter, i will be very greatful to you.

Hi there.

I am just trying to install Snow Leopard and I have got the same problem described above, more or less. I attach a picture of my screen --> http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/3785/dsc02979h.jpg

I followed the guid by lifehacker http://lifehacker.com/5351485/how-to-build-a-hackintosh-with-snow-leopard-start-to-finish and it apparently worked for my laptop but when I try to install it in my desktop it just gives me a panic kernel death screen. :S

Any clue?
