Hey mates.
As seen here: http://www.infinitemac.com/f5/mac-osx86-ideneb-does-not-boot-t2132/

i successfully installed and used OSX Leopard for more than 6 months!
Now i wanted to upgrade to Snow Leopard, because of iits functions and so on.
But how? i'm really confused due those methods.

Can somebody tell me how to install snow leopard?
What do i need to backup or to create?
Can i use the original SL-DVD to install it using EmpireEFI?
Or do i need another bootloader?

My specs can be seen in the thread linked above.

I'm very lucky that i found this board!

Thanks in advance!

I'd like to help but it's going to be a difficult one..

You need to get backups of everything, addressbook, ical, documets/files/downloads, iTunes Music Libary and the whole Music folder, Pictures, Movies and everything worth keeping on an external drive.. and re-install Snow Leopard on your system..

I know it's hard to hear it but it's the only way, Updates are for real macs only..

p.s. Empire EFI it's not the only way to work with, you can use Chameleon, PCEFI, and all others are boot-think forks, empire-efi too..

hey thanks!
no problem, got a lot of timemachine backups here :)
So i have to get a hacked bootloader and an original SL-DVD?

You can even make a SL-USB that boots and installs faster..

But be carefull with TimeMachine backups, you can't restore from time machine like a real mac, so it's better to copy your stuff to another disk, and when you trancent to the new system *snow* you re-enable timemachine for that system..
