How can I get in-put jack working on iPC 10.5.6

Hey everyone,

I'm new here so nice to meet you all but I have a very serious question.

I installed mac os x iPC 10.5.6 on my HP Pavilion dv6907ea Entertainment Laptop and it's great except one very important thing.

I just CAN NOT get my audio in-put jack (for external mic or electric guitar) working! It seems to be completely dead.

I really need to get it working as I need to use it for recording in Garage Band. Please help me because I can't figure anything out.

Update:

My audio works as well as my headphone jack. Only the input jack is not working! Please help me.

1. Get latest PCI Utils for OS X from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113219 and enter "sudo lspci -nn | grep Audio" on Terminal, cause without any information about the device your notebook uses, noone will be able to help you any further.
