BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] (rev 02) not working on Snow Leopard

Hey folks,

I need some help with this PCI NIC:04:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller [14e4:4318] (rev 02)
It has been working out of the box on my old 10.5 Leopard install, so I applied it again since I can't longer use wired network...
But it was not regognized. :( Even the corresponding Kernel Extensions wasn't loaded, so I tried with using this script by mcsmart (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=51725) - but still no luck. :(
Since I applied this, kextstsat shows this: 74 0 0x34fb0000 0x1a8000 0x1a7000 com.apple.driver.AirPortBrcm43xx (411.91.20) <73 72 14 7 5 4 3 1>But there is still no network device avaible. :(

I hope someone has an idea...

Did you happen to find a solution to the bcm4318 problem. I have tried everything and I just can't figure it out.

Yep solved it - embarrassingl; I just had to get a stronger power supply unit. :D

you had to replace the power supply for you computer.. and it just worked? :confused: Sorry I've been running Leopard on my Dell for the past 2 years, and I can usually trouble shoot problems and solve them on my own.. but what does replacing the power supply have to do with the OS not recognizing the wireless card? I'm confused now.

There was something wrong with my DSDT.aml I replaced it with a different one and now everything is working fine.

you had to replace the power supply for you computer.. and it just worked?Well basically yes as I was still using some 350W ATX 2.0 one (20 Pin Mobo supply on 24 Pin board) - what must have been the main reason for my wifi card not to work. I just had that idea, when I was trying to set up the wifi on Linux without having the kernel module beeing loaded, alltough the firmware was present in /lib ;)

Wherefore I am currently either without having Speedstep & Sleep or without having wireless :-| (If someone has an idea / is able to fix that - let me know...) - but I haven't realy thaught about that issue in your case - sorry about that...

I have HPET fixed in my dsdt along with a few other fixes, just wanted to post that under 10.6.3 My Dynex PCI Wifi Card is working

But well this does no longer realy matter to me, since one of the carriers droped the box with my Gigabyte/Intel rig, when I was moving to a new place, about a week ago. :(
Since that I am back on the AMD side of life & hey everythings working fine & smoothly... :D

Thank god I was collecting all the bills, so I am going to get my iPad next month using the insurance sum I received. :cool:
