Unsure? Can you help :]

I'm unsure which distro to use. I've tried Kalyways, the one from Hotfix, iPC and im about to try iATKOS.

Kalyways gave me a kernel panic, and still gave me that when i tried cpus=1.
Hotfix got the farthest, I left it here for 3 hours and it never got into the installer though, it just sat at the buffering with ##### threads. and iPC just rebooted the pc

Any help would be appreciated :]
Oh and these dont show my graphics or sound
but its onboard 7.1 channel surround sound and an ATI Radeon 4850 graphics card

I just tried iATKOS v7 and It got to the darwin boot loader, and then when i hit enter it just rebooted. :(

Also I came to this forum because its supposed to be more helpful, and insanelymac was not at all. so please help? :]
