Hi all!

I just had a thought on multibooting, and if this is the wrong forum for this please correct me -- I am still very new here :-)

My thought was that I see a lot of people running multiple boots through some more advanced boot loaders, but I do not need that level of intricacy. Is it possible to just use bootcamp that comes on all macs to install other OSs? It is a simpler process that I am already familiar with so that would make it much faster for me. Is this possible?

Thanks!

No, bootcamp won't work on any pc. The most common thing to use is a bootloader called Chameleon. It works with Windows, Mac, and Linux, and is surprisingly easy to use

Alright, that makes sense.

I was trying to avoid bootloaders though as best as I could though. Could VMWare or Parallels work on a hackintosh?

Sure. I use VMWare Fusion on Snow Leo 10.6.2.
Parallels also work.
