pre update sl 10.6.2 query

i have a perfectly running SL install on my AMD Phenom II x4 920 Biostar TA790 GX 4 gb ram with internal gfx ati 3300 machine
i want to know if i should update and by which like directly from asu?
BTW I am using qoopz kernel and am currently on 10.6 and want to upgrade to 10.6.2

Download update, install manually and replace kernel by an 10.6.2 patched one.
