Hi,

When I run the DSDT patcher on my Hp550 (core 2 duo version) I get the following syntax error and it refuses to compile my DSDT.aml.

Copyright © 2000 - 2008 Intel Corporation
Supports ACPI Specification Revision 3.0a

./dsdt_fixed.txt 1: ACPI (Local2)
Error 4095 - ^ syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_NAMESEG, expecting PARSEOP_DEFINITIONBLOCK

ASL Input: ./dsdt_fixed.txt - 16245 lines, 585396 bytes, 0 keywords
Compilation complete. 1 Errors, 0 Warnings, 0 Remarks, 0 Optimizations

I have read that I can manually patch the dsdt_fixed.txt and then run 'tools/iasl' on it to compile it.

Does anyone know what I need to change the lines to?

PS I have attached my dsdt_fixed.txt file that gives the error.

Aerumnous.
thats my dsdt to show

Hey I just had a quick look at you DSDT how did you extract it? I have found a really easy program is DSDTSE to start with. The first thing I noticed is line one needs removing. Try DSDTSE.app from there when you try to complie you DSDT it will give you a list of errors to sort out good luck looks like you might have quite a bit of work all the best
