No OSX DVDs boot

I seem to have a problem with booting from any Mac OS X DVD. I just got a new computer, so I need to reinstall OSX (I used an eSATA drive for this). But every time I attempt to boot from the discs, my machine reboots. This has happened with every installation disc in my arsenal, including iATKOS v7 and iPC.

What happens is that I get to the normal "Starting Darwin" screen with the twirling symbol, then reboot. I've tried using F8 to get into the other menu (forgot the proper term, argument screen?), but to no avail. I have pushed it multiple times while booting, sometimes just once, or over and over.

I have three possible explanations off the top of my head. One, my quad-core prevents boot. Two, BIOS settings are wrong. Three, chipset problem. I can't change the processor, the BIOS are very locked down (Thank you Gateway for this wonderful product), and I can't change the chipset of course.

Possible solutions? Should I just forget it? Am I an OSx86 noob (No I'm not, I've installed OSx86 on 4 other computers, thank you very much.)?

Specs:
Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz (It sucks!)
8GB DDR2 at 400MHz
Gateway FMCP7AM Mobo (Made by Intel)
nForce 730i Chipset
GeForce 9800GT 512MB (used this in my last computer)
SATA CD Drive (problem with that?)
Some Realtek Audio

I have quad core, and what worked for me was to use the boot flag: cpus=1

after you install it, you can make your dsdt to make all 4 cores work

The only problem with that is that I can't even get to the point where I can type that in. I'll try again though. Using iATKOS v7.

EDIT: I guess I wasn't pressing it early enough. Now I get the lovely anti symbol, and the computer doesn't go further than that.

EDIT2: Did a -v -x cpus=1 and got through, then "Still waiting for root device". Noooo!!!

so you can't even boot the dvd, correct?

I got to the regular boot, just with that nasty root device error. I'm looking at the OSx86DeFacto DVD loader.

I have an nForce chipset.

The only problem is that I dont have a OS X install anymore. Is there anyway to restore the dmg to a flash drive in windows?

I have another computer that can boot iATKOS which I just tried to install on so that I could do the steps, but I can't get it to work right. I can install the bootloader from the DVD on that computer, but how can I restore the DMG that way?
