Hi everyone!
I'm done installing Leopard 1.5.2 on my AMD Notebook and it works like a charm! But still, I cannot get QE/CI to work even though I have done the following things:
- I installed with the GeForceGo kext, but no result.. Software acceleration
- I did the GFX Util thing from the wiki without removing the kext.. no difference
- I removed the kext.. and now I have 2 display adapters in 'about this mac':
1: nVidia GeForceGo 7800 (Software acceleration, no QE/CI, and it doesn't detect my display)
2: Device (isn't recognised as an GeForce card... however it is the exact same module as the first one..)
Matbe it has something to do with the fact that I have a notebooks with 2 videomodules (I know Leopard doesn't support SLI.. but so doesn't Windows.. so I don't care...)
These are the specifications of my notebook:
Model: Arima W830DA
Processor: AMD Turion64 ML-44
Chipset: nVidia CK8-04 (I believe that's nForce 4)
Videocards: 2x nVidia GeForce Go 7800 256MB (important.. I have 2 VGA-modules..)
HD: 120GB Hitachi S-ATA
LAN: MARVELL YUKON
I have read a lot about putting device id's in Info.plist files, but to be honest... I don't know what device ID to put in which Info.plist (and where?!?!)...
Can someone explain how to do this.. or maybe someone has a solution for this 'no QE/CI' problem???
Thanks!!
