Hi, Im really sry if i posted this in the wrong area, but ive been trying to find the correct place for 20 minutes, so.....

I've used tony mac's retail dvd installation and its 99% working. I have gotten my graphics card to work fine and I have over 100 applications installed. The only problem I have is that I cannot get my audio to work. I've tried the voodoo kext but when I install it and install prefpane, it says cannot find registry-entry path. I've tried the steps on Tony Mac's guide but nothing works. When I got to about this mac, it says - intel High Definition Audio:
:(
Device ID: 0x1458A002
Audio ID: 887
Available Devices:

I had the jacks and sizes earlier, but when i was trying to use voodoo instead of Applehda, it changed it. I re-installed applehda and this is all i get. None of my devices are recognized.

Can anyone here give me a DETAILED WAY TO GET AUDIO?? Do my speakers need to be usb? Do I need to do anything in Bios for sound? Do i need a sound card??

Any help wound be great. Oh, and this is a custom built comp.

Welcome to InfiniteMac! :)

I have moved your thread here and added your audio chipset to the title. Im currently working on some audio project of my own so I will keep an eye out for anything regarding that chipset.

You mentioned that you used "Tony Macs Retail Installation" Would you have a link? I have not run across that title before.

I see that you have posted your specs in the thread. You can also place this information in your "Signature". It will then appear on every post you make. How to edit your signature: http://www.infinitemac.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile#faq_vb3_signatures_av atars
