View Full Version : XP boot problem; no problem with Win 7

I'm having an interesting problem here...and I am not quite sure what the issue could be.

I'm trying to install Windows XP on a separate SATA drive. I've got one SATA drive running a perfect install of 10.5.8 (all thanks to a member on here's awesome EP35-DS3R guide).

The problem is that whenever I boot the Windows XP CD, it says "Windows is loading files" and goes through that process, but I get a BSOD when it should go into the rest of the install, where you choose what drive you want to install it on. I don't get this problem when I install Windows 7; it installs perfectly.

In theory this should be very simple; I want to run OS X on one drive, XP on another, and use the BIOS F12 boot to switch between the two. And I'm doing that currently, with OS X and Win7. But I want to erase Win7 and use XP instead, and I can't install it for some reason.

Help please!
