hi there,
my 10.5.2 runs quite stable.
The only issue i have is with iMovie (latest Version).
I can import Movies from my cam without any problems.
i also can arrange the movieparts inside iMovie, but as soon as i press the play-button iMovie crashes :-(
My Quicktime-Player is the latest version patched with Marvins-AMD-Tool.
Does anybody have a hint for me ?

Can anyone please tell me how do you use Marvin's utility. I've read the instructions, however it didn't become any clear.
You install updates (Quicktime, iTunes), then run Marvin's utility (second option), then put needed files to root directory and patch from boot?
Or you run Marvin's utility before installing to identify current state of CPUIDs and then install updates and patch from boot to restore CPUIDs to the state before installation?
It is unclear for me since I don't know the working principle of Marvin's utility and can't find where to read about it.
For example if I run Marvin's utility on root directory it will also find CPUIDs of Adobe products. My system runs smoothly now, won't there be problems if Marvin's Utility patch Adobe CPUIDs?
I am really confused here.

If you don't want it to patch something just remove those entries from the cpuid.txt file
I'm not sure what you want to know?

From Wikipedia: "By using the CPUID opcode, software can determine processor type and the presence of features..."
What exactly Marvin's Utility does? After I install updates/software Marvin's utility checks if CPUIDs of new installs/updates is the same as it is was before installation or corresponds to the ones that are held within Marvin's utility and if it different, utility replace them? So Marvin's utility already have info about my CPU and I have to run it AFTER I install updates/software? (and what if after updates Leo prompts me to restart computer I can't tell him wait a moment I need to run Marvin's utility so on restart I can patch you :D? )
Is that so?
Sorry for being dumb :)

Hi,
after patching my whole installation with Marvins Tool, I still have the same problem.
As soon as i hit the playbutton within iMovie it crashes :-(
I also recogniced, that when i play the grabbed iMovie-movies directly from disk with Quicktime-Player, it does not crash but also does not play smooth ...
maybee it has to do with this ....

Tell me, is your copy of iMovie legit? If I were you, avoid the illegitimate side if you are using one. Where did you obtain this copy? =)
